Huston, Mr Bonifant was voted to tbe oaale, DATB OP SHOW. The Seoretaty read replies from the Ilmaru and Elleemare Aasooiations with leferenoas to the arrangement of dates d shows. No reply had been reoelved (torn the Ranglora Asnoolatloo. After lotne conversation It was proposed by Mr Taylor and sooonded by Mr M. Friedlander " that the show be held on Friday, November 1," being the Friday following tAe Tlauru show as usual. Carried unanltaously. HORSB PABADB. Tbe question of the basis on whloh the Horse Parade should be held was oonildered at some length. It was pointed oat by some horae owners that Tuesday was an nusultable day to hold the parade, md tbe date was fixed for Saturday, September 21. Mr Straohan advocated that tbe parade being held mainly for the bsnefit of the owners of horses the entry fee should be lOi foe e»oh horse and the public admitted free. M; M, Frledfonder proposed an entry of 5s and th&t a ch«rge of Is be made to the puhHo for admission to the ground. Mr Thomas suggested that If no oharge were made to the public the horses might be uhown In some suitable plane In the town. Ultimately Mr FMedlauder's motion was adopted by a majority of 10 to 7. Messrs M. Stltt, R. Millar, Joseph Hunt, D. Thomas, Peter Williams, and 0, Reid were appointed a Committed of Management for the parade. SHOW CATALOGUE. Messrs D. Williamson, R. FrledUnder, J. Bonifant, and D. Thomas were appointed a Sub-Committee to revise the aatalogue for the forthoim'ng show. KBAPER AND BIDDER TBIAL The letter from the agents foe the manufacturers of reapers and binders, asking the Association to hold a trial of reaping and binding machines during the next harvest was considered. The proposal was approved ; a committee to arrange for a trial to be appointed after the show. THB N. Z. EXHIBITION. Mr D. Tnomsa referred to the Exhibition as a ma' tar of Interest to farmers, pointing oat tbe importance to them of the dlstriok being well represented, and asked that farmers should oontrlbute towards the oost of exhibiting. The Committee deolded that Mr Frledlander had complied with the conditions under which the prfzj had been competed for, and resolved to support bis claim. NEW MEMBERS, Messrs R. W. Hart and W. Anderion were elected members of the Association. special p<tms Mr D. Thomas offered as the Mayor's and Treasurer's prf^s either three oops of the value of £5 5a eaob, for tbe highest prfgitakors m the classes for horses, cattle and sheep respectively at tbe next show ; or one oup value £15 15 j for the taker of the greatest number of prizes m all three classes. A resolut'on was passed thanking Mr Thomas and aooeptlng the three cups. Mr M. Frledlander renewed hia offer of a £5 5s cup for the best yearling by Blaokwood Abdallah, which was alao accepted with thanks. A vote of tbanka to the Chairman terminated tbe prooeeJlugs.
