EAST STREET HORSE MARKET.

WILLIAMS AND BLAND, Williams and Bland report having held their weekly Bale of horses on Saturday, 17th August. The entry consisted of 17 horses, of whioh 10 were sold. There was a good attendance, all good sorts meeting with fair demand. A bay mare, 6 years old, by Banker, £23 10s ; brown mare, 7 years old, £15 10s ; do 5 years, £17 10s ; do aged, £11 10s, £11 ; light spring dray horseß, £12, £9 ss ; horae, buggy, and harness, £16 10s ; haoks, £6 to £2 2s 6d. We also report having sold privately, on aooount Mr Charles Dawaon, Waterton, the Clydesdale Btallion, Young Major to Mr Alexander Spring at a satisfactory figure. We are sure Mr Spring will meet with a suooesßful season as the old horse is a great favtritt, his stock having turned out well, as shifcwn by the prices realised at our looal sales. Implements.— Spring dray, 68 sa; single furrow plough, £3 10s. Oattle.— Springers up to £6 10a. Pboduce.— Fowls' wheat. 8a to 10s per bag ; barley, 10s 63 per bag ; prime Tuaoan seed wheat, 33 s&d ; oats, 2s Sd to 2a 9d j ; grass seed, 2a lid to 3s ; oooksfoot, 2Jd per | lb ; oat rot a, 3s per sack ; oat straw ohafl, £2 \ per ton, bags extra. Potatoes.— Derwents, 63 to 83 ; kidneys, 10s ; Early Bose, 2d per lb ; snow flakes, Id per lb ; bran, 5s to 5s 6d ; sharps, Bs. Poultry. — Turkeys, 12a 6d per pair ; fowls, Is 13 to 2s 6d per pair.
