LORD KNUTSFORD.
Lord Knutsford, addressing a public meeting at Midhurst, Sussex, briefly referred to the Irish difficulty, and declared that the colonies would despise the Mother Country if they seriously contemplated the dissolution of the Union. He expressed regret that it would be impossible to pass the West Australian Constitution Bill this session, and explained that at least four-fifths of the territory was entirely unfit for tillage.
