[Per Hanroto at Auckland ] EMPEROR WILLIAM.
London. August 8.
The Emperor William at a banquet, replying to the toast of his health, expressed the hope that the friendship so long existing between the British and German soldiers would continue, and promised to do all in his power to maintain the good Mlnwship between the two nations. His Majesty left the Isle of Wight in the Imperial yacht Hohenzollern on his return to Berlin.
