Mr Alfred Harrison reports hia weekly sale, held on Eaturday 10th August, as follows : —
Cows : There waa a largo entry ; but sales were not easily made, reserves m most casea being too high. Springers of good qua'ity sold from £4 to £5.
Pigs : fclipa. 7a 9i, 9a 9! , 10a 3u, lla, lie 3d, 12b, 13?; sows, 353 to 38a; boar, 335.
Poultry : Fowlb, la Bd, 2a to 2a 6d ; ducks, 33 to 33 61 per pair ; geese, 4s 3d to ss; turkeys, 103 to 12s 6i per piir. Produces : Oats, 2a 63, 2a 7£i to 2a lid per bushel ; cbJckwheat, 23, 2a 6^, to 3a ljd per brehel ; derwents, 6j to 7» 6d per bag ; kidney seed, 7s, 9a to 10a per bag; carrots, ?.a to 2s 63 : tharps, 7* ; bran, 4s 6d ; floor, 83 to 9a per 1001 bs ; Tea, 15s per box ; carcase pork, 3i, 3£<l lo 4d per 1b; mutton, Id to 2d per lb; bacon, 6d per lb.
A quantify of harness, furn'.tura, and the usuil sundries ia any quantity. There waa a large attendance aud & capital sale.
