He was aeked.to address a public meeting m Aaokland In support of Home Rule, but said, In reply, that bis visit to Auckland was necessarily brief, and he 1 could not sooede to his request. He, however, expressed hearty sympathy with the Home Rule movement, and approved of the mission of the Irish delegates. In an interview, speaking of Mr Dillon, Mr Bright said he was a thoroughly honest and honorable man, and one of the most reapeoted members of the House of Commons. Mr Bright also remerked — 11 In nay opinion the aversion Bhown to any settlement of the Irish question arises from the entire misapprehension of the circumstances of the case. lam bound to say, during my visit to the colonies, I have never talked with any man without his agreeing with me that what 1b necessary f° r Ireland will have to be done, and very soon." The objeot of Mr Brlght's visit to the colonies is for the benefit of his health. He prooeeds to the Hot Lakes, and theDoe to Wellington, and will leave for England by the Doric.
