The other dsy a North Island ooroner (Mr Qresham) held an inquest on a man who had been killed by a fall of earth, and after the affair was over he probably thought that he had seen the last of the subject of the enquiry. However as he waß riding home he had the misfortune to be thrown off his horse, whioh rolled on him, and injured his leg. The unfortunate ooroner was so much hurt that on the next day he had to by conveyed to the township on the same trolly that was oarryiug the corpse lately the EUbjaot of the inquest.
