Under date, Reefton May 29tb, the correspondent of the "Press' 1 telegraphs : — The prospectus published In London by the Midland Railway Company when floating the debentures reaently has reached here. It ahowa that of the three quarters of a mi-lino rtieed, £520,000 will be expended ia 0 mpleting the railway from Gref mouth to R^fion and constructing slx-milc sfotlont Sprlngfiold and Nelson respectively. The Company undertake not to issue further debentu ea until the ilne Is oomp'eted end running to Reefroo Tenders for the construction of the Ahan<-a seotlon (about six miles) are now invited. It Is expeoted the line to Reetton will be finished In eighteen months
