CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
A civil action, Greenwood v Gibbs has been before the Courts. The plaintiff, late editor of the "St James Gazette" sued defendant, who was proprietor of that journal for damages owing to bis having had m consequence of Gibbs 1 conduct toY relinquish bis position. Mr Greenwood asserted that he resisted the instructions of defendant because he had reason to believe tfiat the " Gazette" was becoming an organ of Prince Bismarck, The jury v were unable to agree upon a verdict.
