Wellington, May 22. A peculiar aotion was brought against the Wellington-Manawatu Railway Company to recover £2 damages, and eight shillings amount of fare paid. On Easter Monday the plaintiff and bis wife took tickets fox Paikakariki, but at Plimmertoa the carriage occupied by them waa detached from the remainder of the train aod they were left behind IPor tho defenoe it was submitted that the guard of the train had called to the passengers to change carriages. His Worship however, held that the notice was not sufficient, ana that it was the doty of the guard to specially notify all the passengers who wished to change. Judgment was gives for 18s and oosta £2 19s 4d.
