The proprietors of one of the collierieß at Westphalia refuse to consider the terms offered by the strikers, and it is belived that this refusal will endanger the terms of the compromise which were offered on the eight hou.rs' system, with increased wages, M« y i«, The third of the Westphalia strikers have arranged matters with the colliery proprietors, and returned to work. The strikers m Silesia, a Province of the south-east of Prussia, still hold oat, and show a menacing attitude towards the troops. They hare wrecked several of the colliery buildings. A conflict took place between the military and the miners, during which one of th.c latter was shot. London, May 18.
