The hounds met at Mr J ho O'Grady'*, near Wlnohmore, on Saturday last. Tbe few persona out were treated to a very good aftornooo'a sport. The flrat hare waa lo»t la lome piougb, after a rua of •boat 2\ miles over pretty stiff ooontry with lot« of wire. Another hare was atarted *fter a little dolay and gave a splendid ran of about aa hour, wheu aba was killed m a ploughed paddock. About 40 equestrians tamed oat on Wednesday 15th Inat at Mr Joseph Hunt's, Wakanul, a very favorite meet for years past, and thl» time few bad reason to regret patting to an appearance. A fine hare was found In Mr Hnnt'a potatoes bat went m the opposite direction to that anticipated— towards Ashbuton fnraoms distance, then through a number of amall sections to the Oonvent and turned through behind Mr Albert Roberta' and got ioto Messrs Chalmers Bros, where the hoanda were whipped off and taken back to Mr Hant'a. One poor fellow and hia horße all bat disappeared, the riiet'a bead alone bilng above waier for a few seconds. Two bare barbed wire fenoea had to be negotiated to keep with the hounds and conalderably thinned the field. Paaa however got away after a long ran In an old gravel pit overgrown with gorse. Mi Manson'a property waa then beaten and puea was aent a tray at a great paoe through Mr Lamb s and returned nearly In the same oourae, then wont through Smith's gardens awnm the mill stream again and, made m the dircotion of Dromore. Unfortunately when nearly exhausted pass ran m view of tha hounda into a scattered mob of sheep and they rounding op she was lost. Home very atlff jampa and rough, wire' oo u a try were orobsed but no spills of consequence resulted. The soeat was oatohy at times. Altogether the paok worked very well.
