Ohkistchokoh. April 24. Glorious weather attended the ÜBual sale at Addington. The attendance was good, and the entry very large. Stork Sheep.— The entry of store sheep, though principally m large Hoes, showed a deaidedly upward tendenoy throughout, the demand for young good sorts being very muoh improved sinoe the recent rains. The prices were ac follows :— Fall mouthed merino ewes from 2s to 3s 6d ; culled ewes, Is 7d ; forward merino wethers, 3s 6d ; two and fourtooth croßßbred wetherß from 8s 6d to 10a 7d ; two-tooth crossbred ewes, 8s ; ditto mixed up to 9b 3d ; aged crossbred ewes from 3s 6d to 4s lOd. Fat Shzxf. — About 6000 were yarded, and though one or two picked lines sold at advanced rates, there was an evident drop m the demand. Best wether mutton m most oases realised 2d per Ib. For inferior quality there was a lull m the bidding, which oauied it to realise a trifle below last quotations. A further drop during the sale showed that the demand of butohers had been amp'y satisfied. Buyers of freezera were scrupulous ns to quality m consequence. The supply of fa* iambi waß far smaller but the quality was far above that of most weeks. Some choice lots brought up to 11s 3d while very few sold below 8s to 9s. Sxobb Cattle.— There was a fair entry of store cattle and* dairy oows. Dairy cows sold up to £8 16s 6d ; two year old steers fetched up to £2 10s, and three year old as high as £3 17s 6d, heifers m proportion. Fat Cattle.— The sale of fat cattle was more limited than usual, and a marked improvement m prices was obtained. Primest ox beef fetched fully 18s 6d per lOOlbs. One line of steers well forward realised £7 17s 6d and £8. Other lines of good beef sold nearly equal to this, but the demand for inferior sorts did not Bhow any improvement. The Pig yards ware crowded. Porkers sold up to 84s 6d ; baooners from 42s to 65b.
