FUNERAL OF THE YEN. ARCHPRIEST GRAIN

Nelson, April 16, The funeral of the Yen. Aroh-Prlest Garin took place this afternoon In the morning there was a requiem mass with office for the d,ead. Dr Walters, of St. Pdtrlok's College, Wellington, was the oalebrant, and,' as well as his Grace the Archbishop of Wellington, the following olergy offiolated :— Father Devoy, St. Patrick's College ; Father Lewis, of Blenheim ; Father Kerrigan of Wellington, ; Fathers Mahoney and Landouar, of Nelson ; and the Vloar-General, Father MoNamara. In the afternoon the Archbishop delivered a vary able funeral oration, and many present were moved to tears. The funeral prooesaion was a very long one, being j jlnod ia by citizens and dory of ail denominations, including his Lordship Bishop Suter.
