Mr James Thomeon, of Half-moon Bay, Stewart's Island, one of the original prospectors of the Pegasus tin field, while eu. gaged cutting the Government track from Half-moon Bay to Pegasus, found at Faterion's Inlet, about eight miles from the mouth, an outcrop of qu-rtz containing galena. This prospect is barely payable, but further development of the ore may prove it to be of rioher quality.
