THE PROPOSED TRAIN TIMES ALTERATIONS.

Dkab Sib,— Wbeu I saw wbat alterations m the train servioe were proposed 1 folt sure that so far as could be made ont from tha newspaper tbey would not suit Ashburton people generally, and appeared to be entirely framed to suit the very limited number who travel through. I therefore communicated with tho Chief Oommiasioner and reoelved the encloasd wire. What iteps would you propose ? A publio meeting would be best perhaps.
