Auckland, April 10. , A general meeting of Freemasons of Auckland district was held t '-night at the I Masonic Hall, and about 250 members were present. It was agreed, by a largo majority, that It Is desirable, In the Interests of .Free Masonry, that a United Grand Lodge of free and aooopted Masons of New Zetland should be constituted, with the assont of the majority of Lodges now working In the oolony under the Grand Lodges of England, Ireland, and Scotland reepeotively. In order the better to carry out thla resolution those present constituted themselves a branoh of the New Zealand Masonic Union.
