THE CRAWFORD-HUNTER PARTY.

The Crawford-Hunter patty of Sootoh vocalists, who were here some months *go, gave »n entertainment m the Oddfellow*' H»U laat evening. Every [ Item oa the programme wai excellently rendered, and the oonoert was of a moat enjoyable oharaoter. The attendanoe, however, was by do means oommeosarate with the merlta of the performance, the home being only moderately filled. The aadlenoe, though small, was a thoroughly appreolatlve oae, and by frequent and warm applause demonstrated its satis* faction with the eff jrta of the performers. Miss E. Hunter, who haa a powerful and well-trained soprano voloe, gave a number of songs capitally, the most noticeable being "Jock o' Hazeldean," "Auld Robin Gray," and "Aye work awa'." The last Bong was voolferomly encored, and Miss Hunter responded with a oouple of veraes of "Kiilarney," beautifully sung. Mies Maogregor's rloh contralto was heard to advantage In " 0, speed Lord NUhsdale," •• The Auld H/ioae." "Ilka Blade of Graaa," and " Tho brisk yoang lad," all of which were warmly applauded. Mr Orawford, who la a humoriet born, and who slogs Sootoh oomto songs to porfeotlon, his expression and aotlon being lnimitab'e, had the tniafortune last night to ba suffering from a severe cold, but, m spite of this, he suooeeded In pleasing his audionoe bo well that unanimous enoores followed eaoh of his efforts. Master Orawford contributed a oword dance, which was redemanded. He also played a selection oo the pianoforte very nloely Indeed, and acted as accompanist throughout the evening. The entertainment all through was a real treat and well deserved a crowded home.
