The book examiners reports were read, they had examined the books of the Various lodges, and expressed themselves eatisfied with the manner In which they ware kept. A hearty vote of tbanki was aooorded to the examiners. It was decided to hold the next halfyearly meeting at Waterloo. Prov. D.G.M. 0. Tacker was elected Prov G.M. ; P.G. J, Oorbett Dap Prcv. G.M.; Pror 0.8. R. Mlnnls, reeleoted; P. P. G.M. O. Reid, Treasurer ; and W. T. Hoal, Auditor. Tt was resolved that P.P.G.M. G. V. Scott receive the P.P G.M. degree, and that ft District Merit Board be procured. P.P.G.M. 0. Reid installed the various offieen into their reipeotlve chairs. The offioers eleot having returned thanks tbeG.M. deolared the meeting closed. At 6.30 a Past Grand [Lodge was held. A number of Past offioers received their napeotlve degrees. The leotures m connection with 'esob were impressively tendered by Prov, G.M., 0. Tacker, ably assisted by Deputy G.M,, J, Oorbett PP.G.M. 0. Reid and P.G. J. Miles •oting ai conductors. The meeting being declared o'oit d, the District Officers and Delegates were Invited to a samptuous spread, supplied by Mr W. 0. Davis. The tables presented an attractive appearance, «ver;thlog being done la first-olea* style whioh refected credit on theosterer. The following toasts were proposed and duly honored : — " The Qaeen and Manchester Unity." 'The G. M. and Board of Directors." "The District Officers and Yislting Brethren." " The Past District Officers." "The Mayor and Borough Councillors." "Kiudred Booletles" and " Host and Hostess." Exoellent songs were rendered during the evening by Broa E» J. Fooki, S. Woodward, J. Oookburn. W, B. Dolman, W. T. Soal, J. Miles, J. Ketr, G- F. Scott, A. Dee, D. Street, 0. M. Brooks, J. Oorbett and J. Elliott. The meeting was brought to a olose by staging the National Anthem,
