Mr Samuel was then re examined by Sir Robert Stout on the history of William Humphries' bankruptcy and William Bayley 'a connection with It, after whioh his evidenoe closed. Mr Oorklll, Deputy Official Assignee m Bankruptcy, gave evidence m respect to Wallath's bankruptcy. He denied that he foroed Wallath to sign dopoattiona. He was preatnt when the affidavit waa drawn op at Wallath's request m Re w eon's room. No threats were uaed towards Wallath by Rawson or anyone else, nor did anyone urge blm to algn.
