AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.
Mr Peter Williams (for Mes*.s Friedlander's Bros.), ropnrts on the stook market held at Ashbart'n Yards en Tuesday, the Sth Maroh, as follows:-— Abon 4700 sheep, 20 pigs and 6 bead of Oftttle were yarded. There was a muoh larger attendance of farmers and buyers than there has been for some weeks past, and tbe demand was fairly good, showing that the farmers had scoured their grain and are now on tbe look out for breeding ewes. The following re tho prioes obtained :— Fat crossbred ewes. 4s .3d, 5. 8 d to 6s 3d ; fat merino wethers, 5s Id to 5s 3d ; merino ewes. 4s lid ; fat crossbred lambs, 7s 6d to 7s lid; stores, 4t Bd. 5j 8d to 6d ; sound-moutbed merino ewes, 3i 7d j store pigs, stubblem, 21s to 23s ; fat steers, £4 7s 6d to £4 17a.
