THE SAMOAN QUESTION

LoNDOH, Febrnary 23.
The " Daily News " states that four German frigates, now at Genoa, have been ordered to proceed to Samoa without delay. Prince Bismarck has privately complained that the Samoan difficulty is a personal trouble m which the colonies are involved. Baron de Worms, m reply to a question m the House of Commons, stated that is quite necessary that the Australian Colonies should be specially represented m the Samoan Conference, to be held m Berlin. The British envoy, would, he said take the necessary steps to insure Imperial interests being thoroughly protected. Bkblin, February 23. Prince Bismarck has been entertained at a banquet by members of the Diet. In referring to the German Colonies, he said they were burdensome; and it was impossible to permit trifles to embroil Great Powers.
