CATTLE NUISANCE.

TO TBS EBITOB.

grjt, — With your permission I should like to draw the attention of the Hampatesd Town Board and also of the Ranger thereof to the persistent practice of grazing cattle m tbe streets to the most aggravating annoyance of the owners of gardens m the above mentioned rural towneh p. The cattle are sent out m the morning m churge of a boy to look after them. The boy leaves the oattle to look after themselves, and tley, by way of amusement and to gratify an appetite for a change of diet, proceed forthwith to damage fences and destroy potatoes, peas, and all other vegetables they can come ftcrosp. This is going on from morning to night, day after day, month after month. The boy m charge is absent and out of light two-thirds of his time, so that there is ample time for the Ranger to step m and attend to his specified dntifis. It is Very annoying to h»ve our fences and crops destroyed by other people's cattle ; and it is getting quite time that something were done towards abating the nuisance. By inserting the above you will much oblige. I am, eto , A FuFFKBBft. Hampstead, February 21st, 1889.
