THE REAPER AND BINDER FIASCO.

Referring to the account which we published yesterday of the recent reaper and binder conteit at Gore, Mr Robert Strathers, agent for the Deerlng maotiine writes to the " Press," stating that It is entirely wrong In two particulars. First, instead of all the agents (i.e. cf binders) having agreed with the exception of the Deoriog agent, who objected, to work under the auspices of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association rules, Mr Struthera says : — " The aotual faot was that all the other agentf, with the exception of the Deering agent, agreed not to work or show their maobines under the auspices of the Gore A. and P. Association, they expressed themselves ditaatisfied with the way the said Association meant judging at the trial, the Deerlng agent being quite willing that hit maohlne should be jadged as the Association saw fit. The second partloolar which Is wrong is as follow* .— Ton state that ihose present, about 600, beoame demonstrative, and mostly sided with the experts. As one who was on the ground, not only at the time of the dispute, but during the whole day, I feel quite certain that this should have read that those present mostly elded with the Association."
