' Stdnkt, February 19. Government have received a communication respecting official representation at fhe Dunedin Exhibition, but owing to the political crisis the question has not been decided. It is considered likely that the Cabinet will ask for further information before dealing with the subject.

Parliament will meet on the 27 th instant for the purpose of swearing m ihe new members, but the formal opening by the Governor will not take place until the following day.

Recent arrivals from the islands report that a severe hurricane has visited the Loyalty group, during which the schooner Aurora, which for many years traded m and out of Wellington, was wrecked at Mare. A large quantity of wreckage, believed to belong to the Edith May, a large Sydney schooner, was also waihed up on the beach.
