MURDER IN A HOTEL
A BURGLAR KILLS THE LANDLORD;
[«t sllotbio tmjkhufh— oofybiqht.] (pbb press association.; (Received February 13 12 39 p.m > London, February 12. A dreadful murder occurred at Swan■ea. A negro entered an hotel there, burglary being his object. The landlord surprised the burglar and a desperate struggle ensued, m the course of whioh the negro managed to draw a razor, and murdered the landlord, cutting bis throat. Meantime the landlady was •roused by the noise of the straggle, and taking a revolver ran to the scene. She fired a Bhot at the negro and wounded him, but he managed to make hisjescape. Ihoisands of the townspeople joined m a search for the murderer and ultimately grjcoeeded m capturing him.
