Contractors Shoehan and Oollinn, received permission to leave thoir work for 000 mouth to ha> vest, on the ooodition that all necessary works be attended to on the roads. It was reeolved that Brown's contract be considered next month. ItJ was roeolvnd to deposit with the Bank of New Zealand £600 for three months, £500 for six months, and £1500 for twelve montns Correspondence was received from the Minister for Pnblio Works relative to new works, From T. Oronin asking for an extension of timo on his contract. One. month granted. From a number of ratepayers asking to have the oonduot of the poundkeopor looked into, It was resolvod ihat the pound keeper be instructed to attend the next Board meeting, to meet tbo petitioners, when the charge* would be considered. From thu Treasury covering £4 14s 9d, rates on Grown Lands From the Jubilee Exhibition asking for 00-operation Consideration deferrod till next meeting. Accounts for £52 2\ lOd were passed for payment, and tho member* went into Oemetery busiucsi. "2 ho Chair man reported having seen the oaretakw, and arranged to pay bis salary £15, the caretaker to hold the hay out to, the Board'u order. It was deolded. to call for applications for tbo poat of caretaker for the Cemetery. The meeting then adjourned.
