This reached Messrs Klrkpatrlok and 00., of Nelson acd they went to work hi a very practical fashion to prove that the jams manufactured by the firm were of the best quality. T«r& cases of assorted jams were sent to this offioe, with a request that we would thoroughly test the jam along with other brands, and give our opinion. v7e are happy to state, frankly and fully that we bave beeo very much mrprlsed, as prior to the receipt of Messrs Klrkpatricir's gift we were onaware that New Zealand oonld boast of an "jandnfltry of whiob it has so much reason to be proud- Tbe various aorta of jam were . tested by a nomber of persons, who ' compared the samples with other brands, and the general verdict »a .tint not only are Messrs Kttkpatrick's productions far .:■■ . »tid away better than any other New \ /Zealand brand we can .obtain, bat they are superior to .Kngltsh jams m being fresher. We are pleased to be able to give unstinted praise to a genuine local industry, the product of which we can unreservedly rojommeud to consumers.
