The attendance was a greit Improvement on last week's, the weather l»lng all that could be daafred. A fat* amount of business waa done. Therr waa a large entry of fairly good sorts, -rend prloei remain firm despite the number entered every week. Ooe very choice'- pen of hslfbreds realised 10i lOd, bat they were by for the beit yarded, and tfcfey were «old for export. The supply of fat cattle waa not as large as bat reoently been the ease, and In consequence the greater proportion fonnd customers, thongh the isle waa rather inclined to drag. One or two specially good lines of beef aold at prleoi equal to about 16s 6d per lOOlbs, bat the general average that were 4 sold did not realise anything like that figure, 13i to 15s per lOOlbs being the utmost that was obtained for Inferior units. There were about 1600 store *<p entered, these being disposed of Id m .11 lines fot stubble feeding. The sale was somewhat brisker than nsnal, price* being as follows : Good quality orosibred ewes, . all ages up to 7s 3d; merino ewe culls, 2s 3d ; broeabred ewes from 4s 2d to 7s. " Fat Sheir— About 3000 were entered, and though there was no*hlng of special quality, tbe prlos at the oommenoemant of the sale was fully up to that of last week, the best wether mutton fetabing over ljd per pound, while ewe and Inferior was below that rate. Store Cattle.— The entry oomprised only one or two good lines w^ieh sold freely, tbe reminder being odd lots whloh gave no direct orlterlon aj to tb* market. Well-bred two-year-old steers In • good condition reached £3 10i ; hjjif Mi of the iame age were cold up to £3 6i ; yearlings sold well, and If good sorts as much is £1 15s was obtained for ' tfcem, while aalry oowt of good quality maintained their price well. • - ! ■•>•-. / Oalvbs,— -A limited entry met with ready demand at prices ranging from 14s to 23s for veslers ; low conditioned calve* not meeting with a good sale. Pigs —There was a fairly good entry of weaners and store pigs found a ready sale at the hands of a newly-constraoted boiling down establishment. The result was satisfactory to the vendors, Weaners, 10a to 15s ; porkers, 3£d per' pound.
