Christohorch, January 28; John McManuß was committed for trial to-day for the murder of William Oody at Bipa Island on Saturday. Joseph Ohildn. blackHmith, Lyt'elton, aged 75, one of the " pilg ims," died rather suddenly yesterday morning.
