GERALDINE v ASHBURTON.

A orloket match between a team from Geraldine and one of the local Club was played on the Domain ground on Saturday. Geraldine won the toss and went to the wlokets, whgre they remained the greater pait of the day. The ground were all In favor of the batsmen, and when the list of the visitors' wickets had fallen they bad totted up the substantial score of 238, The largest Individual soorer was Moore who puc together 75 m fine style. He was, however, dearly out when he bad made half a dosan, bat si no one appeared to think of appealing the batsman had accordingly a new lease of life which he availed himself of to the fullest extent. Ashburton had only about twenty minutes at the wickets during which time they totted up 29 for the loss of one wicket.
