In December, 188 7 . when an outburst of oil and horning of tbe derricks m the Sonth Pacific Petroleum Company's well occurred, the boriog tools fell to the bottom of tbe wall, and since tben this baß caoßed delay m testing the well, but yesterday Mr Weaver, msnager, succeeded m recovering ijie tools, and is proceeding with tests. A meeting of shareholders ia tbe Company is to be beld ia Sydney, on January 30 :h, to decide what is now to be done. Wbelucgtoic, January 24.
