THE ANNEXATION DIFFICULTY

It is reported the inhabitants of the Comoro Island Group, lying between Madagascar and the African mainland, are seeking British protection to avoid : French aggression. \\ Paris, January 24. M. Goblet has discussed the Pacific qnestion with I,ord Lytton, British Ambassader at Paris, and instructed i M. YVaddington, French Ambassador at London, to approach Lord Salisbury with reference to the annexation of the Tsibui islands by England.
