The evidence ao far goeft to show that some of the frozen meat purchased by Roaewarne after, the fire was excellent, bat p»rt was dlsoolored and tainted with smoke. It does not yet appear thtfc the sale was Injuriously , affdcted by the advertisements wbioh many of thoae ooooerned regarded as a joke. The Grot advertisement was written by Aherne at the request of several . batchers, who expressed approval of it 1 af ter it appeared. The second was written i by htm oa his own responsibility. He l understood the batchers would pay for It 1 which they did not object to do. One of . them approved of it after it had been published.
