THE WHITECHAPEL MURDERS
RUMORED CAPTURE OF " JACK THE RIPPER." (Pn. Paws Association.) London. January 15. A rumor has obtained currency to the effect that Jack the Ripper, the alleged author of the Whitechapel horrors, hag been captured, and a wild sensation was created m the metropolis m consequence. Up to the present, however, the police * liave received no confirmation of the report, which is generally discredited.
