PROPOSED FREEZING WOKKS AT GISBORNE
(FBR PKBSS ABSOOIArIOJT.) Gisbobne, December 10. Messrs Nelson Bros, of Napier, hare offered to establish freezing works at Glaborne, and Rive a minimum pett prioa of l£d and half the surplus over 44 obtained m London. A guarantee of 16,000 sheep per annum for three years is required by the firm. At a meeting of sheep farmers the offer was favorably received, and a guarantee of 10,600 given m the room. Several large ebeep owners wrote favoring the proposal, and it is not apprehended there will be auy difficulty In obtaining the guarantee asked. The opinion la expressed that two or three times the number could be forthcoming annually before three years elapsed.
