(psb rusaa 4ssooiation.) Hobart, December 4 Bain is much needed throughout the colonj. Fears are entertained for the crops, unless a plontiful supply falls shortly, ' - • Sydney, December 4. Now Zealana produce on consignment clears smartly at good prices. There is » good deal of speculation m the produce market, and buyers are pnrchasing shipments from New Zealand at high rates. Values, however, are depreciated by every shower of rain. Large quantities of produce are purchased for the country markets, although much has been secured ior local requirements. The weather to-day has been very fine throughout Australia, no rain having fallen m Victoria, South Australia, or New South Wales. In Queensland also the weather has been fine, with the exception of the Cardwell and Mackay districts, to the north of Tambo district, 500 miles m the interior. In Hydney parcels of New Zealand wheat are gelling at from 5s 2d to 5s 6d. Sydney, December 5. Water is fast disappearing m the back country. The creeks are all dry, and many cattle and sheep are still dying about Wilcannia.
