He got down with a rope attached, and almost immediately lie entered the kiln he became unconscious, through the inhalation of carbonic acid gas. The son followed to rescue the father, but he alao became bfocted with tho ga«-, He was promptly pulled out by the hair of hie head by one of the employees. Ihe father was afterwardß pullod out m an unconscious state, but recovered under medical treatment.
