Bepprti from the Central Cumberland district show that serious damage has been done to the fruit crops by the drought. There will be a loss of sixty per cent of apples and grapes. The rains have ceased, and they will not do much good unless more falls. At Armidale, despite the recent rain, the wheat crop is a complete failure. Flour has risen £4 per ton, and hay is selling at £7.i Bread, potatoes, and dairy produce have advanced 50 percent.
