« Mr B. G. Stavely (for the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports as follows on the Aehburton stock sales yeiterdsy :— Moderate attend«noe and emsll entries of stock, including 1000 sheep, mostly stores Demand aomewhat improved, though marketc t not brink. Sales were effected us follows: — Fat shorn crosibreds, 10a 6d ; fat shorn merino wethers, 1 10s 6d ; superior long-wool hoggets, unshorn, 14s Id : small crossbred hoggets. In wool, 8i ; crossbred ewec, m wool, with fair percentage lambs, lla ; merino ewes, time condition, 10s 3d ; thorn erosabreds, with lambs, 103 lOd ; fat lambs 7» 6d. Cittlo were rather dull. Fat cowb £4, £5, £5 15i ; dry oowi, £1 lGa to £2 15* ; mixed two-year-olds, 46s ; springers. £4 ss ; eighteen months belters, 31».
