LIVE STOCK MARKET
Mr D. Thomas (ate of Matson, Oox and Co.) reports on th* live stock market for the week ending November 27th as follows : — On Taesday, at the Ashburton yards, I held my usual weekly sale of sheep, cattle, and pfga. The ewm a very limited entry, comprising m all 956 sheep and 26 bead of cattle, most of which were of medium quality, cne line of hogcets only being exceptionally good. The following were the prices retllted ; — Fat merino wethers, 10j 6d ; merino ewes and lambi, 10i 2d ; croisbred ewes and ltmbs, 111 to 12s; crossbred hoggets, 9* »o 14s 3d. In cattle— Fat cows, f5 to £5 15s ; fat heifers, £3 17s 6d to £5 ; fat eteers, £4 10a ; store steers, £2 10a ; old cows, £1 10s.
