SLAVERY QUESTION
THE BLOCKADE OF ZANZIBAR. (Pkr Press Association.) Zanzibar, November 26The Sultan is indisposed, and the blockade of the coast has been delayed m consequencs. The British Consul at Zanzibar ha§ discovered 1500 runaway slaves, who had taken shelter with the English Mission m the Pangamui district. Mr George Mackenzie visited the Mission m the British interests, paid the ransoms of the runaways, and is devising measures to provide for the slaves. It is reported that seven slavers have been captured off the coast. Turkey has agreed to co-operate with Germany and England m blockading the coast.
