Dunbdin, November 23. A very Urge meeting of shareholders of the Exhibition Company was held this evening. The Oommlttee proposed a long list of names, and It was resolved, subject to consent being obtained, to make the following appointments :— Patron, his Excellency ; President, Mr John Robertß ; Vice-Presidents, Sir H. Atkinson, Sir J. Hector, Sir G. Grey «irW. FKzherbert, Sir M. O'Rorke, 81r John flail, Sir R Stoat, Jastloe Willl.ms, •he Mayor of Dunedin, Hons H. W. Reynolds and R. Oliver, Hon. T. Fa-gar Bxecative Oomm'sjloner, Mr R B N. Twopeny. O maalasionera— The Mayors of Auckland, Napfer, Wellington, Taranakl, Blenheim, Ohrlstohuroh, Hokltlka Tlmaru, Oamara, Inveroargill. The Committee appointed number over 100, It w»s resolved tb»t as soon ag £10,000 was subscribed the Directors should be empowered to prooeed with all things necessary. It was then deolded to increase the capital to £16,000. The Onalrmnn mentioned that ho believed the £10,000 would be Bubscrlbad In a few daya, and he did not now contemplate suoh a thing as failure.
