Sergeant Felton prnaeoated and Mr Outhbertson appeared for the accused. —The Magistrate said that this being aa indictable oflenoe it was necessary that the oise ; pbonld he heard before two Jaations. Mr Oathbenson said that he proposed to apply for a remand until to-morrow m order to allow of the attendance of witnesses for the defence. — Sergeant Felton had an' obj otlon, but would pat the witness, TPrinmer Into the box to show a prima facie case.— O. Primmer sworn, deposed, that he was on the Aahburtnn raoeoourae on Thursday. He had a£t note m his left hand. Tbe note was taken out of his hand by the oooused. Had seen accused before, but had no connection with him m any way.
