. (Before Major Steward, J.P.) DBUNKKNNBBB. . Oh«rles Gill pleaded guilty of this offence and' was fined 6t or 24 hours. ▲LLSOBD LAROBNY. Edwin Forward was charged with the larceny on the racecourse on Thursday of a £1 n> te, the propaity of O. Primmer. Sergeant Felton prnaeoated and Mr Outhbertson appeared for the accused. —The Magistrate said that this being aa indictable oflenoe it was necessary that the oise ; pbonld he heard before two Jaations. Mr Oathbenson said that he proposed to apply for a remand until to-morrow m order to allow of the attendance of witnesses for the defence. — Sergeant Felton had an' obj otlon, but would pat the witness, TPrinmer Into the box to show a prima facie case.— O. Primmer sworn, deposed, that he was on the Aahburtnn raoeoourae on Thursday. He had a£t note m his left hand. Tbe note was taken out of his hand by the oooused. Had seen accused before, but had no connection with him m any way. Was not jointly interested with him m- any sweep or iv the totallsator or anything of that kind — Sergeant' Felton having stated that this witness would be re called at the adjourned hearing Mr Cathbertson did not cross-examine. — R«nindtcl till to«aaorrow at 11 a,m. Ball allowed, accused m £50 and two sureties of £25 each. . .
