Auckland, November 22. A man named Frank Forratt died somewhat suddenly to-day, having burst a blood vessel daring the night. Deceased formerly followed the occupation of a stook-broker, and came to Auckland from .Otago about the year 1868. . " Gisbobne, November 22. . '" A young man, named Alexander Watts, fell from the derrick at the MinecvA petroleum works, yesterday, and was so seriously Injured that he died to-day. The official declaration of the harbor poll shows 600 ratepayers, representing a value of £904,469, voted for going on with the works, aid 30 ratepayers of a valuation of £48,970, voted against. There were 308 absentees and others who did not vote, representing a property value of £407,441. Hokitiea, November 22. A man named Timothy Ryan was seriously Injured while bush foiling at the Wiiliam Tell claim yesterday afternoon. A tree splintered, and knooked him down the s'ope, causing severe wounds m the head and bruising the body. He was un oonaalous when found by his mates.
