Sydnky, November 2 At an adjourned meeting of the conference to-day between the masters and delegates of the miners a draft agreement was arranged, which will now be submitted to the rqen for approval. The prosecution of the Salvationists at Waollongong for marching m pror cession is creating some stir. Eight officers were sent to gaol for three months for this offence. The Press adversely criticises the severity of the sentence and deprecates the law of allowing corporations to exercise control over religion by enacting by-laws on the subject.
