DOGS.
There was a small entry of doga, only alne appearing on the ground. The animals, taken all round, can only- be obaraoterlaed as a moderate lot, Ia smooth-coated eoollea, Mr Oorrlgan's Sweep, a nice looking dog, took the first prize, Mr B jnnlngton'i Lace being second. Mr Houston's Dick was entered In this claes. Dlok Is a fine dog, bat being rough-ooated, he was, of ooarse, disqualified^ In rough-coated oolliei, Mr D. McDonald's Prlrjot, a dog that carried off ohlef honors at Timarn two years ago, was awarded first prfza, Mr Hay Smith's Jook being sesond. As m former years, complaints were made of the inatliity of judging the animals without a praotloal trial of thsir capabilities In working sheep.
