A private cable message received by the Bank of New South Walea here advises that at the half yearly meeting held yesterday at the Head Office In Sydney, jjhere wa§ declared, the usu»l dividend at the rate of lfj per oent, with a bonus at the rate of 2\ per cent per annum, and a Bum of £10,000 added to the reaervo fund, whfoh now amounts to £920,000. The shareholdeta of this Institution are to be congratulated on the highly successful reanlts of another halfyear's operations. The ability and caution whlah characterise the administration of the Bank of New South Wales havn secured for It & long period of continued prosperity, and enabled it to mike the uau*l handsome distribution to Its shareholders. At the last half yearly meeting the dividend and bonua wera <»t the rAte of 17$ per cent, absorbing £;ofl 375, and the reserve fund was also augnjeuied by £IQ,QOO. -(«• Frees " November 1. )
