Mackenzie's statements with reference to the malpractice en the part of Dr Bergmann when operating on the trachea m the late- Emperor Frederick's throat, and declare that the autopsy revealed no traces of Such blundering as that ascribed by Sir Morell to Dr Bergmann's operations. Count von HatzfeldMVildsnberg, the German Ambassador, has made a formal complaint to Lord Salisbury m reference to the publication of facsimiles of portions of the late Emperor's diary. The Premier repudiated any complicity m the matter by himself or any member of the Royal Family, and has promised to institute enquiries as to how parts of the late Emperor's Diary came into the possession of the publishers.
