GOBSB ON BOADS. It vas resolved to send notices to occupiers of land on the plains that If the goraa growing on the roada Is not grubbed up within one month, proceedings will be taken. "

SPECIAL MEETING. It was decided to hold a special meeting of the Board, on Tuesday, October 2«rd. to oonslder the following resolutions passed at the annual meeting of ratepayera;—'«That it be a recommendation to the Board to take into consideration if it would be to the interest of the ratepayers to dispense with the day man." 'That it be a recommendation to the Board to make the necessary arrange* rnents to have another member for No. 3 Ward; also to oonslder advice from Messrs Wilding and Lewis re Wakanui oreek.
